Sara and David are one of the nicest, most easy-going couples and you’ll quickly see their pure joy for one another as you scroll through their wedding photos (which have a fabulous vintage glow, by the way. We're loving it.).
Sara was a very classic bride- she had an understated elegance about her that matched her sweet, relaxed personality.
Their theme was ideal for a Texas wedding in October with pumpkins, rich autumn colors, burlap, and lace. Bumble Bee Occasions, one of our preferred vendors, brought Sara’s vision to life with the pumpkin centerpieces and pumpkin arrangements on the Bowling Green- they could not have been more perfect!
Amy Zumwalt Photographers captured some of the most gorgeous Fall photos we’ve seen taken at Clark Gardens. Judging by the thriving colors you’d never have known it was 90 degrees that day! Amy spent a good part of the day searching for the perfect spots and decided on Conifer Trail for Sara and David's first look- an amazing choice!
The ceremony was simply beautiful; one groomsman and one bridesmaid; a friend with an acoustic guitar and a sweet voice singing as Sara walked herself down the aisle to meet her parents and David.
We love this... Pure joy.
The reception kicked off with a sweet first dance and a giggly couple as they shared in the excitement of finally being married.
The East Tent was full of people who love two things- Sara and David and DANCING. Trey and the Tritones, who have never seen an empty dance floor, kept the guests on their feet all night!
Sara and David enjoyed their dream wedding and we were so excited to have played a part in it.
Congratulations and Best Wishes to Sara and David!

If you’re a frequent visitor on the.knot.com, have picked up a Brides of North Texas magazine or any other wedding magazine in the last few months, you may have seen photos of Mary Ellen and Ethan’s stunning wedding and reception at Clark Gardens. Even a year later, we can’t get enough of these two!
Mary Ellen has always wanted an outdoor wedding and to walk down the aisle barefoot, and on November 16, 2013 she did just that. She and Ethan said “I do” in the peak of the Fall season in the midst of the rich autumn colors, and she was indeed, barefoot. With the help of some fabulous vendors, including Mary Ellen’s cousin Emily Clarke of Emily Clarke Weddings & Events, their dream became a reality to create a truly perfect day.
Two gorgeous, over-sized arrangements made by Branching Out Events adorned the ends of the ceremony site creating a classic, yet majestic look. The flowers consisted of roses, hydrandeas, tulips, sweet pea, and berries in shades of green, pink, red, and white- perfect for a romantic garden party.
The ceremony was so sweet and sincere, even our staff was in tears.
In the busy-ness of wedding planning over the course of just a short five months, Mary Ellen and Ethan were just ready to be married and start a life together.
Their garden theme filled the East Tent with lush floral arrangements hanging from the chandeliers, garland wrapped up the drape poles, and a floral print lighting against the tent ceiling.
Pewter chiavari chairs paired with banquet-style seating worked well to create a more formal setting for the reception.
Despite the formal setting, the reception was quite the party- The band Motion kept everyone moving throughout the evening. When the dance floor filled up, guests danced wherever they were around the tent.
All elements of Mary Ellen and Ethan's wedding vision came together perfectly to create a gorgeous, incredibly special day and we are grateful to have been a part of it.
Congratulations and Best Wishes to Mary Ellen and Ethan-

Lindsey and Slick were married at Clark Gardens on November 9th, 2013 and it was definitely one for the books at Clark Gardens. Lindsey’s vision for an elegant event with a rustic, southern charm truly came together for this Texas-born bride and her Alabama groom.
First let's mention Lindsey's perfect bridal luncheon held at Lake Pavilion. It was the perfect spot for an intimate gathering with her closest girlfriends and ladies in her life. Colors of purples, reds, and yellows looked beautiful on the antique white furniture and complimented the fall blooms and trees surrounding the pavilion.
The sunset ceremony took place under the big oak tree on Summer House Lawn which served as the perfect theme for the entire event. Lindsey featured the tree on her save-the-dates, invitations, cocktail napkins, and more. Flowers on the Square in Fort Worth put together all of Lindsey and Slick’s decorations and floral arrangements including the white orchid leis hanging from the tree creating a willow-effect.
The reception was held in the East Tent. The décor, by Flowers on the Square Bill and Jace, incorporated real tree bark and leaves to dress up the entrance and inside of the East Tent which transformed the tent unlike Clark Gardens has ever seen. The centerpieces were a mixture of tall, rustic candelabras and smaller fall floral arrangements. Lindsey’s cake, by Creative Cakes by Monica, was showcased with an arbor from Clark Gardens and was decorated with the same tree bark, oak leaves, and a fall colored floral pattern.
Instead of a groom’s cake, Slick preferred a southern staple- pecan pie. Fire Oak Grill in Weatherford provided a beautiful dinner display and made individual pecan tartlets for Slick and the guests to enjoy.
DJ Connection and The Matt Wayne Band kept everyone on their feet and enjoying themselves, especially the bride and groom. They danced the night away!
Slick and Lindsey’s special day was truly a representation of their relationship, as what every wedding should be- it was beautiful and fun!
Congratulations and Best Wishes to the Robisons- Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!

Sara and Blake are a sweet, precious couple whose love for each other is instantly recognizable. Their wedding day was full of personal touches from handmade signs to a choreographed bridal party dance, and these two lovebirds enjoyed every minute of it. Looking through their photos captured by K & S Photography, you can see the joy and love wrapped in this day!
Sara’s color scheme was purple and white with a hint of peacock, which always works well at Clark Gardens! The garden is home to a variety of wildlife- an elegant swan named Doc, Canada geese, ducks, turtles, blue herons, guinea fowl, and gorgeous peacocks. Moments before Sara walked down the aisle a guinea ran across the ceremony pathway- As a newly vet school graduate, Sara's face lit up with delight!
The ceremony was held at the Rose Pavilion in the West Garden. Our white garden chairs fanned out across the lawn of the pavilion and guests were able to see Blake and Sara’s darling faces as they spoke their own written vows, which brought everyone to tears, including us. The Rose Pavilion waterfall added a beautiful sound to the ceremony.
The purple and white bridesmaid's dresses were classic. Simple, yet elegant and the girls' bouquets, by preferred vendor Penny's Flower Shop in Mineral Wells, were a perfect addition.
After the ceremony Sara and Blake took the most beautiful pictures in the sunset light of the West Garden. One of our many favorites is of the newlyweds standing amidst the double-ruffle poppies. The poppies are stunning in full bloom showcasing a sea of pink along the West garden.
The reception was held on Summer House Lawn and it was a blast! Joe T. Garcia’s catered the reception and worked like a well-oiled machine. From the time they arrived to the time they left, Joe T’s staff cooked and served fast and professionally. They did a fabulous job!
Thomas Smith with Smith Audio, also one of our preferred vendors, set out purple up-lights at the bottom of the crepe myrtles that gave the garden reception a big something-extra. Also, included with Summer House Lawn at Clark Gardens is a dance floor with a canopy of café lights that really makes the lawn feel like a party!
In Blake’s vows he said “we have been through four graduations, four years of a long-distance relationship, across two states in two different time zones, and it has been worth every minute of the wait.” *cue tears.*
We could not be happier for these two darling individuals. The wait is over!
Congratulations and Best Wishes, Blake and Sara!
